Founder of My Sister’s Advocate

NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Mable Taplin

A woman who’s walked hospital floors and global streets, sat with grief and danced with joy, and turned both into fuel for purpose. I’m a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience, a keynote speaker, a world traveler who’s explored more than 65 countries, and a fierce advocate for women’s wellness, especially for women of color navigating midlife and caregiving journeys.

My path hasn’t been easy, but it’s been rich. I’ve held the hands of patients taking their last breaths and celebrated victories with survivors who refused to be statistics.

My Story

I’ve cared for my own mother through her battle with cancer and learned—through pain, through love—how broken and beautiful our healthcare systems can be. That lived experience? It reshaped me.

I founded My Sister’s Advocate because I got tired of watching women like us fall through the cracks. We are often the caregivers, the warriors, the ones who “keep going” no matter what. But who advocates for us? Who teaches us to rest, to rise, and to reclaim our voices in a system not built with us in mind?

Through coaching, speaking, retreats, and my upcoming podcast My Sister’s Voice, I help women rediscover their power. My work blends science and soul — rooted in clinical knowledge, elevated by faith, storytelling, and cultural truth. I speak from a place of experience: from the bedside to the boardroom, from village health centers in Africa to policy conversations in Washington, D.C.

"Mable gave me the understanding and tools I needed to finally advocate for myself effectively. I stopped accepting 'normal' lab results when I knew something was wrong. Her approach helped me connect the dots between my symptoms and get the care I deserved."

— Michelle, Executive Director, Age 47

"After watching Mable's modules on functional medicine, I finally found a healthcare provider who listened. The lab guides she provided were game-changers—I knew exactly what to ask for. I got proper testing and treatment within months, not years."

— Denise, Entrepreneur, Age 51

"What I appreciate most is how Mable addresses the whole experience, not just the physical symptoms, but the emotional and cultural aspects too. I felt seen and understood in a way I never had before. This course literally changed my life."

— Angela, Nonprofit Director, Age 45

My Why!

I know that my voice is shaped by legacy.

By the resilience of my grandmother, the grace of my mother, and the vision I carry for generations to come.

I’m not just here to teach — I’m here to walk with you. To help you advocate for your health, worth, and future.

Because, Sis, your health is generational wealth.

And your voice? It changes everything.

Let’s build a legacy of healing — together.
